The rivalry is back for the second year: Loyola vs. New Trier football.

Last year, through thunderstorms and delays, the Ramblers defeated the Trevians 41-3. It was also the first time in over ten years the teams had played each other in the regular season.

“We’re very excited for this game. We need all Loyola fans to be there this Saturday to support us,” captain Matty Mangan said.

The game is sure to be well attended on both sides for this showdown.

Mangan, one of three other senior captains, is one to look out for on the field, explained Andrew Nolan. Additionally, he added to watch junior quarterback Perrion McClinton, as it’s his first home game.

Loyola football takes on New Trier this Saturday, Sept. 7 at 1:30 P.M. at Loyola. Of course, fans are expecting an equally successful year. Be there to help cheer the Ramblers to victory!
