Loyola Academy’s Varsity Field Hockey team is putting their best foot forward this season. 

The Ramblers opened their season with crushing defeats, but scores slowly began narrowing as competition became more fierce. 

Since then, the ladies have been putting in the work to come out on top. “We’ve been working hard in practice to strengthen our defense, improve elimination skills, master our defense and offense short corners, and scoring capabilities,” said senior captain Camille Paracchini. 

The Ramblers will be taking on St. Ignatius on Wednesday, Sept. 25. With comparative statistics, it’s sure to be a competitive game. 

The team will be focusing on capitalizing short corners and having their forward line work together to get the ball in the cage, explained Paracchini.
