Riverdale is a teen drama and comedy show, where the twists and turns are so dramatic it’s comical.

This show features actor Cole Sprouse and up and coming actor KJ Apa. The two star as teen boys named Archie Andrews and Jughead who live in the small town of Riverdale where cross town rivalries, gangs, and the supernatural are not uncommon. Despite their unlikely friendship the boys have known each other their whole lives and take on Riverdale’s  problems and try to solve them alongside their two girlfriends Betty and Veronica played by Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendez.

When you watch this show your parents may overhear it and think the names sound familiar. This is because the entire show is based off the Archie comics series that came out in 1941 by MLJ Comics and was published by John L. Goldwater. The comics were beloved by young children in the 60s and 70s.

The show is a great for teens because it is about high schoolers so it’s very easy to relate, but still entertaining because of their wild adventures. The only downside of the show is that it can get a little corny and the acting sometimes is not done well.

Despite its flaws I would still rate Riverdale ⅘ stars for its intriguing storyline that always keeps you on the edge of your seat! You can watch this show on Netflix, The CW, or even YouTube.
